Question: Can you help those of us who are caught in the whirlpool of work so much that we are not conscious of the presence of God?

Swami Papa Ramdas

We do not work the whole day long. There are some hours of leisure. Out of these hours, after spending some time for the necessities of life, outside the field of daily work, some period may be devoted exclusively for remembering God and getting the necessary communion and contact with Him.

By practising like this from day to day, we shall be able to develop a nature in which there will be always peace, even when we are active in our daily routine. Remembrance of God in that state becomes the background to all external activity.

Consciousness of God will then be always with us and we get the peace which passeth understanding. Otherwise we are caught in the whirlpool of work we are doing every day and lose ourselves in it so much so that we entirely forget God. We become only machines turning out a certain amount of work and exhausting ourselves. As a result the mind becomes restless, care-worn and unbalanced. So, during our leisure hours, we must devote some time to retire within ourselves and commune with the Divine by remembering Him through prayer and meditation. Gradually we feel so much joy in the work that we never feel fatigued. We now know that the work we are doing is a dedication to the Divine, because we become conscious that we are doing the work not by our will and power, but by the will and power of the Divine.

Catch hold of this divine Name and go on doing your work in the world.

Hanuman worked tirelessly for Rama. He also performed incessant Rama japa. We should also be like this.

Nothing we earn today would come with us to the final destination but only the Divine Name WILL

One should constantly repeat the names of God irrespective of any activity that he might be involved in

While you concentrate on your studies and prepare yourself for your future, you also need God's grace.

As long as you search for peace outside yourself, you will not attain it. To find the peace within you, please chant the Mahamantra always, thinking of Lord Krishna and surrendering to Him.

People perform actions for the sake of happiness; but they neither attain happiness nor succeed in ending their sorrow thereby

Lord Rama says, “Any accumulated wealth will dissolve in due time. Any position of power attained will come to an end. All the relations (children, wife) come to an end in death. There is nothing in this world that is permanent.”

Chant the Mahamantra Nama kirtan :

Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare

The only atonement (Praayachitham) which alone is capable of nullifying all the errors completely

Sins of action, sins of the mind and sins of the tongue – are all eradicated……..how?

The person who remembers The Lord is purified both externally and internally

The six reasons for the superiority of Namakirtan way for the salvation are as under:

Ritualistic sacrifices which has prescribed rules to follow do not match even the part of the benefit derived by Chanting the Divine names of the Lord

All rituals are corollaries of the these two basic rules – “Always remember Sri Krishna. Never forget him”

The best way to help a person attain salvation on his death bed is to Chant the Mahamantra loudly in his ears.

Hereafter, the Divine Name Rama is my only companion, nothing else.

Nothing we earn today would come with us to the final destination but only the Divine Name WILL

Lord Rama says, “Any accumulated wealth will dissolve in due time. Any position of power attained will come to an end. All the relations (children, wife) come to an end in death. There is nothing in this world that is permanent.”

Death shows, never, any compassion, Be mindful and only chant this simple prayer, Hare Rama

The God of Death has no compassion. One must always Chant the Divine name of the Lord Hari.

Chant the Mahamantra Nama kirtan :

Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare

Real tolerance, real national integration and compassion can come about only through such Mahans who have attained Oneness with God.

Happy Republic day

Excerpts from a discourse by our Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji

Who can be so compassionate? They (Mahans) come away leaving their wives, children and parents. They neither think of them nor do they worry about them. But, they take those who seek them as their family. They bear the burden of the families of their devotees. They worry over their problems and are concerned only about their welfare. They feel, ‘it is not enough if I bless my devotee but should bless all those who help my devotee!’ In Mahabharata, how did Krishna view each and every one? Any friend of Arjuna was his friend. Any enemy of Arjuna was his enemy. The deep love (‘anbu’/’premai’) that Krishna had for Arjuna was the reason behind this. It is this sort of love that Mahans have shown to all those who have sought them.

When these Mahans mingle with the devotees without any bias of Nationality, State, Caste, Religion or Language then we find that those who seek them, those who come to them also forget all about the country, the state, the caste, the language they belong. Therefore, real tolerance, real national integration and compassion can come about only through such Mahans who have attained Oneness with God.

The charitra of such Mahans are the proof for achieving national integration, tolerance and compassion. Moreover, from the lives of several Mahans we are able to understand their deep compassion. In these we find that they have gone beyond religion, caste, nationality, language, state and looking at Man only as Man, have blessed the people with the requisite ‘arul’ (Grace). Therefore, in the world when each and everyone attains such high state of spirituality there is no doubt whatsoever that National Integration, Compassion and Tolerance towards other faiths will come about.

Universal brotherhood will become reality only if we all understand that we are all Children of the same Paramathma – Almighty

Preamble of Namadwaar, Nama Dwaar – Purpose and Plan

By constantly chanting the divine Mahamantra and surrendering to the feet of Bhagavan, one can attain moksha by his grace. In this state, individual mind would be one with the Universal mind of the Lord.

Repetition of Name will create Love. Hari will be yours when you attain Love

That love, can sprout only by his grace. His grace descends when we chant the Mahamantra

Having compassion of the Lord as the foundation, the one which has no rules, the one which can eradicate the force of Kali, Namakirtanam is the only resort. I think again and again about this with in Myself

Chant the Mahamantra Nama kirtan :

Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
